FAQ

What is the Hologic Horizon Wi?
The Horizon Wi is a DXA (dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry) bone densitometry system used for bone density measurement and additional scan-based analysis options depending on configuration. (Hologic)

What does a Horizon Wi DXA scan measure?
Common outputs include bone density metrics and body composition analysis; some setups also support visceral fat estimation software from total body scans. (Hologic)

Is a DEXA scan the same as a body composition scan?
DXA can be used for bone density and can also produce body composition outputs (depending on the exam type and software). (Hologic)

Compliance note

DEXA+ scans provide measurement and reporting to support informed wellness decisions.

Compliance & Regulatory Notice

DEXA (Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry) technology is a regulated medical imaging modality. While DEXA scans are widely used for measurement and assessment purposes, their use is subject to federal, state, and professional regulatory requirements.

Medical Oversight:
DEXA imaging requires appropriate medical oversight in accordance with applicable laws and professional standards. Interpretation of DEXA results for medical diagnosis, disease evaluation, or clinical decision-making must be performed by a licensed healthcare provider acting within their scope of practice.

Not a Medical Diagnosis:
Services are intended to provide measurement and informational data to support wellness tracking, fitness planning, and health awareness. DEXA results alone do not constitute a medical diagnosis and should not be used as a substitute for evaluation, diagnosis, or treatment by a qualified medical professional.

State Regulatory Requirements:
DEXA operation, technician qualifications, radiation safety protocols, equipment registration, and physician involvement are governed by state-specific regulations, which may vary by jurisdiction. Services are provided in compliance with applicable state radiation control programs and licensing requirements.

Clinical Use Disclaimer:
Any medical interpretation—such as diagnosing osteoporosis, assessing fracture risk, or managing medical conditions—must be performed within a formal clinical relationship and in compliance with governing healthcare regulations.

Clients are encouraged to share DEXA results with their personal healthcare provider for medical interpretation and individualized clinical guidance.

FAQ'S

How often do I use Red Light Therapy?

We recommend using light therapy at least 3 to 5 times a week for optimal results at intervals of 10-20mins. We suggest to start slower/farther at first and then work your way up to the closer distance/longer exposure once your tolerance to the light has been found.

Do I need to wear eye protection?

While there is no proof that red light is harmful for your eyes, it is similar to high intensity light. We recommend never looking directly at the light and using eye protective wear when possible.

How do I select only one wavelength for use?

The benefit of our red light panels is that you are receiving multiple wavelengths at one time with multiple benefits. Individual wavelengths within a group do not accomplish a particular effect all of the frequencies work together in a achieve the desired therapeutic effect. The entire concept of red/NIR light therapy is to emit a spectral output that adheres as closely to the body's own.

What is Red Light & How Does it Work?

Red light therapy (also called photobiomodulation) uses specific red and near-infrared wavelengths to deliver light energy into tissue. That light is absorbed by mitochondria (your cells’ “power plants”), which can support cellular energy (ATP), circulation, and inflammation modulation
